DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS WITH FUZZY RANDOM INPUTS AND OUTPUTS: A CHANCE-CONSTRAINED PROGRAMMING APPROACH
In this paper, we deal with fuzzy random variables for inputs andoutputs in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). These variables are considered as fuzzyrandom flat LR numbers with known distribution. The problem is to find a method forconverting the imprecise chance-constrained DEA model into a crisp one. This can bedone by first, defuzzification of imprecise probability by constructing a suitablem...

ZONE OF TENSION Historically, landscapes graded from urban centers to scattered villages, to a diverse mosaic of farmlands and natural areas (Figure 1). This gradient allowed both a visual and physical transition while maintaining ecologic, economic, and social connections within the larger landscape. Conflicts between urban and rural residents were minimal, in part due to the limited interface...
متن کاملReconnecting Eye to Brain.
Although much is known about the regenerative capacity of retinal ganglion cells, very significant barriers remain in our ability to restore visual function following traumatic injury or disease-induced degeneration. Here we summarize our current understanding of the factors regulating axon guidance and target engagement in regenerating axons, and review the state of the field of neural regener...
متن کاملReconnecting Coloured Dipoles
Reconnections among the produced colour dipoles in the Dipole Cascade Model are discussed, and an implementation in the Ariadne program is presented. The reconnections are shown to have only small effects on event shapes at LEP 1, on the W mass determination at LEP 2 and on rapidity gaps in deep inelastic scattering at HERA. Submitted to Z. Phys.
